About Alene

I have always loved to play with kids. I find their curiosity infectious! I am in favor of creative learning and non-violent communication. I've been babysitting since middle school, and I have experience with lots of different kinds of kids. I have worked for the past 4 years as an after-school nanny to one amazing 7-year-old girl. (She was 3 when I started.) I handle pick-up, play dates, homework, dinner, and bedtime. During school breaks, I often plan whole-day themed adventures for us. The family welcomed their second child last summer, and I began working full-time as a baby nanny. I have developed a wonderful relationship with the entire family, but the time has come for me to find another position. I will be starting graduate school in the fall, and the children's mother is leaving her job to stay at home this summer. Both parents are happy to serve as enthusiastic references. I am available full-time beginning in July, and may be able to continue on part-time into the fall.
