About Alena

Hi, Families! My name is Alena and I have been a special education teacher for 9 years. My age ranges are 9-12 years old but I do have experience with children grades K-8th. Throughout college I worked at a residential home for individuals with disabilities that ranged ages 20-70. In this role I provided services such as aiding in independence through assistance with cleaning and cooking, providing transportation to run errands with the individual, companionship through activities and attending local events with individual, etc. My grandma is 90 and has dementia, so I have some family experience with helping them be as independent, happy, and safe as possible.
