About Alegria

Alegria was our full-time family nanny from December 2021, starting when our youngest child was 3 months old - plus our two older children, age 7 and age 4 , concluding when our youngest child is more than four years old. From the moment we interviewed Alegria in-person, we knew that she was the right match for our family. I had found Alegria through Care.com, and the reviews from her past families were glowing so we had a good feeling. From the start, Alegria was there to help us get settled into our new home and our baby’s new schedule in her new room, new crib, new everything. She followed my recommendations and took notes so we could discuss what was working well and what needed to shift. She helped prep the family meals as well as family laundry. We also trusted Alegria to drive the children when needed. She even helped us grocery shop and run easy errands, which was very helpful. Over the years, Alegria created special activities, specifically on Fridays, for our youngest to enjoy. From a day at the children's museum to a day at the beach, she was always transparent on her plans for the day as well as taking lots of pictures so I could see the fun firsthand. In addition, Alegria has even stayed over for a night(s) when my husband and I were out of town. She would follow the schedule, give consistent updates, and assure us that everything was taken care of. We have trusted Alegria in all situations. My friends call me the “nanny whisperer” since I’ve had the most-wonder-woman nannies who have remained in our lives.
