I am an excellent, caring and compassionate caregiver/companion/homemaker. I am also a son of elderly parents myself, so I know how much it means to have the right person taking care of elderly parents or family members. I provide companionship by reading, having conversation, and listening. I participate in appropriate recreational and social activities and hobbies. I assist client in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc. I maintain a safe home environment for the client. I accompany client on walks, community trips, doctor's office, bank, shopping, etc. I remind clients to take self-administered medications. I inform family coordinator of any changes. I provide emotional support and promote a sense of well-being. I plan light housekeeping tasks such as preparation of a meal, I am an excellent and creative cook. I can do laundry, etc. I perform light housework to maintain a clean, neat environment. I assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment. I can use equipment and supplies safely and properly.
