About Alanis

I am a college student majoring in Psychology at VCU with a minor in Pre-Occupational therapy and Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education. It is my life's purpose to support children in their journey of life which is why I am majoring in it and pursuing a career path in Pediatric Occupational Therapy! During college months, I am a daycare teacher at the N Deck VCU Childcare Center. My position as a substitute of sorts allows me to teach and care for children of all ages from infants to 5-year-olds. prior to this, I worked as a babysitter, Spanish teacher, and even camp counselor to elementary ages. I am very well versed in childcare for a wide variety of ages and can't wait to support their development and learning in all aspects through daily life and with activities! I also have ample experience in working with children who are potty training, bottle feeding and many other critical points of learning and adjustment throughout development.
