About Alani

I have over 10 years of experience working with children, from babysitting to serving as an after-school and summer counselor at the Dorchester YMCA, caring for kids from infancy through 6th grade. I've helped raise my younger brother, supported families during school breaks, and tutored across all subjects. For the past three years, I've worked in a charter school with students from 5th to 12th grade, and I now serve as a paraprofessional with Boston Public Schools. I've also provided consistent care for a family of four over the past seven years, including a child on the spectrum. In addition to childcare, I have 8+ years of experience in pet care-offering dog walking, sitting, and boarding through Rover and word-of-mouth referrals. I'm responsible, patient, and passionate about supporting both children and animals as they grow and thrive.
