About Alan

Hello! My name is Alan. I am a Special Education Teacher, Education Specialist, IEP Case Manager, adaptive music instructor, and professional artist with over 20 years of experience in education, music, communication, and performance. I work with children, teens, and adults, including both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners. I support academics, communication, executive functioning, confidence, and emotional regulation, and I have completed the requirements for my Master's degree in Education while completing the final steps toward my California Education Specialist Credential. I offer individualized tutoring in reading, writing, study skills, Spanish, communication, and adaptive learning, as well as music instruction in voice, piano, guitar, songwriting, performance, and creative expression. My approach is patient, structured, creative, and flexible, helping each learner grow through methods that fit their strengths, goals, and learning style.
