About Alana

Hi there! My name is Alana and I am a rising second year medical student. I graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior. Since eighth grade, I have tutored my peers in school via formal and informal programs in all subjects, particularly excelling at science and math. I was in a competitive Science Pedagogy certificate program in college where I delved into effective teaching styles particular to Chemistry education. Additionally, I have also worked as a Kumon instructor helping youngster achieve basic English and Math skills. I am really patient when it comes to explaining a new concept and really energetic while doing so. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your academic goals!
