Alana has been caring for our toddler son 3 days a week for 8 months while his daycare has been closed. We are so thankful to have her as a caregiver! Our son was immediately comfortable with her, and they've done so many fun activities like playing outside, painting, baking, crafting, and reading. Alana has even taught him to recognize and name plants around our neighborhood, which has been so special and fun for me, a plant lover. Alana's patience with our son, who test limits daily, has been very helpful. She gives him space and time to process his emotions when it's needed, and I can tell that he feels safe and loved when in her care. I appreciate Alana's good judgement when making decisions about activities, and she keeps safety in mind when they are exploring outdoors. She texts me whenever she has questions or needs my opinion on an activity. We'll miss having Alana as our daily caregiver when our son returns to daycare, but hope to continue to hire her for babysitting needs.
