About Alana

Hello, 12+ years mostly in a home setting. I've worked as a team and also solo. Both I've enjoyed! I've helped with scheduling and managing households. When first a CNA I floated a lot. Also trained as a PTAide in Physical Therapy. Worked on a dementia unit, with hospice patients and in the ICU med-surg. floor. My work makes me appreciate life even more, having the privilege to work with all different types of people and circumstances. Very familiar with dementia and Alzheimer's, ALS, cancer and heart disease. While staying professional my goal with my clients is to give them a feeling of being family. Making sure they feel respected and heard. This is essential as a lot of the health conditions they deal with strip them of their dignity and makes them feel utterly out of control of the situation.
