I offer the highest of recommendations for Alana D. as a nanny. Alana has worked full-time for the past year with our family. We have two busy children: girl age 5; boy age 3. Alana is highly responsible, loving with the kids, flexible, extremely creative with educational and fun projects for the kids, and communicates very well with us as parents. Alana drives the kids to/from school and to activities as needed; the kids are always on time, nicely dressed and we have received great feedback on Alana from the kids' teachers and several other parents who interact with her. Alana has been excellent in caring for the kids when they have been sick, and she works particularly well with our son who has to take daily medication, including inhalers. Alana is an excellent house manager for us as well - she keeps the house very neat and clean; grocery shops when needed; manages any contractors when they're at the house, etc. In short, a family would be very lucky to hire Alana as their full-time nanny. In fact, we pursued hiring her for about six months while our schedules were worked out and we were thrilled when we finally scooped her up. The reason we are parting ways is that our family is relocating to DC and we wish she could come with us! Our kids will miss her dearly as they've become very close with her; seeing how our kids interact with her and respond to her is extremely comforting for us as parents.
