Hello! My name is Alaina, but I only go by Ai(: Im currently taking a pause from my corporate life to work on my art and am looking for a part time gig! I was a sitter throughout high school and a nanny through college. I also worked in the infant toddler center, and studied childhood development. I graduated from Vassar College in 2018. I love working with munchkins; watching their gears turn as they discover the world. Helping them along that journey brings me much joy. I'm great with replicating routine but Im also young and high energy so I can quickly improvise and redirect when needed. Im notorious for tiring the munchkins out. I'm also a creative strategist (corporate title) and artist so great at creating simple games and art projects. I do also have a car and clean driving record. Alaina, who goes by Ai, cared for our 1 year old daughter at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. We were thrilled by how well Ai connected with our kid. Together they sang and danced in the living room, read books and played all over the house. Ai was willing to take our daughter outside for walks, even in the cold, and to activities all over the neighborhood. Ai was patient with helping a 1 year old learn to eat solid foods and had no problem changing diapers. As new parents we were new to having someone caring for our child in our home and Ai was always straightforward about communication. Ai was flexible about start and end times. Ai was organized, and created a shared calendar for their schedule at our house. We would hire Ai again.
