About Alaijha

Hi Most people refer to me as Lay or Miss Lay for the kiddos! I'm 24, with years of experience working with elementary kids and younger. I have a focus in special education with my last job being a paraprofessional, and I'm currently a behavioral technician for autistic children. I have experience working with ADHD, ODD, TBI's, etc. I take pride in being an understanding, compassionate, goofy adult with firm boundaries and extensive patience. My passion is child work, and I like to think I'm very good at it. What I don't have experience with, I make up in quick learning and being adaptable! (Such as studying 5th grade math lessons every morning to teach it back to my group of kids in a modified and accessible way) I love reading, writing, any kind of craft, physical and imaginative play, anything creative or high energy.
