About Akyia

Hi! My name is Akyia, and I'd love the opportunity to help care for your loved one. I have been a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for over 3 years and have more than 5 years of hands-on experience in both nursing home and home health settings. I've cared for seniors with a wide range of needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, limited mobility, stroke recovery, diabetes management, fall prevention, incontinence care, and end-of-life support. I am experienced with medication reminders and management, Hoyer lifts, gait belts, transfers, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, and assisting with activities of daily living. I also provide overnight supervision. I am CPR certified, dependable, patient, and genuinely passionate about providing high-quality care while treating every client like family.
