About Aimee

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, creative, persistent. I like tutoring because I enjoy one on one interactions with children, and seeing the lights turn on for them when they grasp a concept. Additionally, I enjoy mentoring them by offering suggestions to improve their interpersonal skills and self care routines. I started tutoring when the pandemic hit, and children across the country were forced to work remotely, and parents were at their wits end. I designed a coaching/tutoring program that centered around my students well-being, which always contributed to both their academic and life success! In my spare time, I like to hangout with my dog, practice yoga, walk near the ocean, journal, and hike. I have a Bachelors degree in Communication from San Jose State University, and several courses in psychology, childhood development, writing and editing, as well as 15+ years of personal development with counselors, therapists and life coaches.
