I'm a Registered Nurse committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care. My passion lies in supporting well-being and independence, making a positive impact on those I serve, and offering families a reliable care option. As a professional and detail-oriented caregiver, personal care, medical management, and mobility assistance. I adapt to changing routines. I always follow a family's preferred communication method. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. Building a connection with your loved one through quality care, compassion, and empathy is important to me. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I look forward to bringing my experience and dedication to your family. I also am available for over night care - respite care to help families be able to go on vacations with the assurance that their loved ones are well cared for and don't have to leave the comfort if their home. My wages are ALWAYS negotiable.
I cannot get your form to select senior care. My comments are based on Aimee tending to my 62-year-old late wife while on hospice. My wife had struggled with ovarian cancer for 3 1/2 years, and was on hospice for 86 days at home. It is difficult enough to be dealing with a patient that is concerned about their own mortality but the family is also deeply concerned. Having a confident, and competent medical professional available on the care team can not be overstated. Aimee cared for not just the physical well being of the patient with palliative care, but also provided advice and counseling to the family members concerning their part in caring for the patient. She advised us on what to expect , and what signs to look for, how to administer medications, etc. She was a a very valuable team member. She listened to concerns and always took the necessary time to insure no questions remained un answered. While my wife often had friends over during her period on hospice , I truly believe she enjoyed the visits by Aimee, and the fear of dying and the possibility of afterlife were sometimes philosophically discussed. I believe my wife felt more relieved for having asked Aimee talk about it. Aimee always gave me a reassuring hug as she left the house, and reassured me that I was doing well as a care giver. That meant a lot to me, a nuclear submarine engineer thrust into a full time caregiving role with no medical training, and a dying spouse. Aimee sharing a few minutes of conversation over a cup of coffee while observing the patient, and answering questions concerning care greatly reduced the family stress levels.
