About Aila

Hi there! I'm a certificated substitute teacher in California with a deep belief in the power of imaginative play. My background in the toy industry gave me a lasting appreciation for open-ended toys and loose parts-like blocks, magnetiles, dollhouses, and anything that invites creativity and world-building. I believe in every child's fundamental right to a joyful, play-filled childhood, supported not just by parents but by a wider village of caring adults. I currently work part-time in nonprofit communications and sub in classrooms 1-2 days a week. I'm seeking part-time childcare opportunities this summer, and open to longer-term arrangements that feel like the right fit.
