About Agnes

I'd describe my personality as encouraging, approachable and engaging. I speak French fluently, and have lived in France and Quebec. I love tutoring because I love the response from students when they understand something that has been elusive! I'm looking for a job that allows me to make a difference in someone's school life. As a teaching assistant at SUNY-Buffalo, I tutored during office hours. I tutored professionally from 2011 to 2021 as a Teacher Assistant in a public school in Hawthorne, NY. While the teacher held class, I worked with a small group of students who needed additional explanation or had their own learning styles (visual, analytical, etc.). I also was a substitute teacher including long-term subbing assignments in Algebra and ELA. In my spare time, I like to cook, read and watch films. My skills include love of subject matter, clear explanations and patience. My experience has taught me that all individuals have the ability to succeed in education.
