About Afia

As a college student with a passion in the healthcare field, giving care is something that comes to me naturally. My friendly and understanding nature, along with my diplomatic approach to resolving conflicts, creates an environment that allows for openness. These are important qualities that overlap for success in childcare. I have learned over the years that everyone has their own unique parenting style. Those are choices that I'd like to honor. Every parent and every child is different, meaning family needs needs a different approach. I engage children in a wide variety of activities, from outdoor playtime to movie days to crafts and even cooking together if they like. This encourages a healthy balance by limiting screen time without fully cutting elctronics out. Especially with the incoming new generation of children, it is our responsibility to make sure they don't fall into the same addiction that many of us have with our devices.
