About Afia

From a young age, I've found immense joy in caring for children. My positive experiences in babysitting my younger cousins and nieces, combined with my passion for supporting families, led me to child care. As a sixth-year medical student with an interest in obstetrics and gynecology, I am fascinated by maternal health and the beautiful journey of raising children. I have less than one year of experience caring for two children at a time. I am patient, creative, friendly, and comfortable enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing board games, puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I communicate with parents using their preferred method, providing regular updates via text, phone, or in person. I am also trained in First Aid and CPR through my medical school. I have also volunteered as a Doula as a medical student. I am happy to bring my calm energy and nurturing spirit into your home and help your child thrive.
