About Aerin

Hi! My name is Aerin, I'm a nanny and tutor of 7+ years, and I'm opening my books for new tutoring clients beginning in October. I recently earned my bachelors degree with highest honors in Psychology and English, and enjoy applying my background in cognitive sciences to help support learners of diverse ages and needs. I also have specialized experience (4+ years) working with neurodivergent children and teenagers, many of whom have received diagnoses of autism and/or ADHD. My favorite subjects to teach are English, math, science, and Spanish, and I offer test prep for the SHSAT, SAT, and NYS Regents exams. As a tutor, I pride myself on collaborating with clients and families to develop lesson plans that fit each learner's needs and goals, allowing me to engage students with a variety of learning styles. I'm happy to provide more information about my teaching approach and philosophy upon request. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and exploring whether we might be a fit!
