I'm extraordinarily privileged to be a licensed elementary school teacher and have spent the last six years working with children ages 3-11. I spent the past three years as a first-grade teacher after graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I pull from innovative and research-backed modalities. During the summers, I worked in Brookfield Zoo Chicago's disability-inclusion summer camp, Zoo Camp, with campers between the ages of 4-11. I'd love to collaborate with families who value diversity, inclusivity, and emotional intelligence. I would love to help with phonics and reading or writing instruction, but I can assist with most academic subjects you may be seeking support around for pre-k through first-grade students (and sometimes up until fifth-grade, depending on the subjects and needs).
