I have been with my almost 97-year-old "Lady" for 5 1/2 years. Unfortunately, she is now in Assisted Living as her daily and nightly needs were more than what her family and I could handle. What can I say about passion being her assistant? 5 1/2 years says it all. We grocery shopped, got our nails done, went to church on special holidays. We laughed our way though our lives. I enjoyed her memories of a long life and treasured every moment. I will miss being her companion 2 - 4 days a week. When Covid hit, I did all her shopping, and even would bring her dinner from my own kitchen to enjoy! I became a part of her family...
