My mother had a low level of dementia before my brother (her son) passed unexpectedly last fall. My mother’s dementia accelerated and in January 2023 she fell. The fall resulted in a level IV pressure wound. After a couple of strokes my mother needed full time care. She was at skilled nursing facility in Raleigh. It became clear that we needed to be with my mother every day. My sister and I reached out to Adabel to support us. Adabel saved our family - truly. She stayed with my mother in the nursing facility often, built a beautiful relationship with her. She supported all her activities of daily living, took her on adventures outside (she was bedridden after her fall), fed her meals, cleaned her room, read to her, played her music, and kept her company. Adabel sent texts when she arrived and departed, sent photos and videos, and called with anything urgent. Our family trusted her completely. She was an extension to me and my sister. My mother loved her dearly and asked about her often. Adabel stayed with my mother over 6 months until the day she passed in June. I recommend Adabel for anyone needing support.
