About Abigail

Hi! I'm a childcare professional seeking a summer position, and I am fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. For the past five years, I have worked as a Special Education Classroom Assistant with CPS. In this position, I have worked with PK-5th grade students who are on the autism spectrum, visually impaired, developmentally delayed, and that have ambulatory disabilities. In addition, over the past three summers, I have been a nanny for an elementary aged child, organizing playdates, preparing lunches, providing supervision in the home and throughout the city, and implementing an incentive based educational program to combat summer learning loss. I have also held a summer internship with the Chicago Children's Theatre's Camp Red Kite, providing artistic experiences for those on the autism spectrum. I have a car available, so I will be able to help with transportation as needed. I'm also willing to do light housework, meal prep, etc.
