About Abigail

I have a background in environmental education and have experience teaching and working with children ranging from preschool through high school in both classroom and outdoor learning settings. While I do not have formal tutoring experience, teaching and guiding students has been a major part of my work for several years. I enjoy helping students build confidence, stay engaged, and find learning approaches that work best for them as individuals. I am patient, creative, adaptable, and especially skilled at breaking down concepts in ways that are approachable and encouraging. My experience includes hands-on science and nature education, homework support, social-emotional learning, and creating engaging learning activities for a wide range of ages and learning styles. I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing their skills.
