I have worked with babies and young children in a variety of settings including daycare, preschool, church, and school. I worked in the baby rooms of a child development center for almost 3 years. I also have had the joy of caring for many infants, toddlers and preschoolers as a nanny. For a couple of years I directed a preschool and I also have taught K4. My degree is in education with a child studies concentration. I have been CPR and first aid certified multiple times. I am a certified youth mental health coach as well. Being actively engaged with babies and children is a high priority for me. I enjoy activities with babies and children that foster growth in their physical, linguistic, mental and social domains.

Abbey is a very capable, caring, and trustworthy babysitter. She nannied for us for 3 months this summer (2017), caring for our infant daughter, who was 3 to 6 months old during that time. She worked full time hours (some weeks more), and was extremely punctual and reliable in attendance, which was so helpful. She engaged in numerous age appropriate activities with the baby, such as talking to her, singing, musical toys, tummy time, walks, playing on the activity mat, encouraging rolling, and reading to her. She kept an informational log and helped us notice patterns in her nap and feeding schedules. Abbey also was wonderful in helping to care for our special needs dogs and cat, too. We miss her already upon her return to college, and we can't recommend her highly enough! (She has our contact information if any potential employer wants to speak in person.)
