About Abigail

I have three younger siblings whom I basically raised since I was 13. My mom and their dad were/are extremely absent so all of the day to day child care fell on me. Starting with getting them up and ready for school at the same time I was getting ready, then helping them with their homework while I also worked on mine, and finally cooking them dinner and ensuring they followed their bed time routines before tucking them in. I was a lot more hands on when they were younger (ages 3-8), but once my brother turned 12 and I was 17, he started taking over caring for the two younger girls while I was applying for colleges and looking to move out. Since then, I've babysat for friends and family occasionally. I have a strong maternal instinct even though I don't have any kids of my own, and I'm empowered by that.
