Hi! My name is Abby, I am a full-time college student at HACC. As of right now, all my classes are virtual so my schedule is extremely flexible! I love working with kids and teaching them how to problem solve and use their imagination. I especially love doing crafts, going outside for play, and indoor games. I have volunteered at Wrightsville Assembly of God in their nursery for a year. A few months ago I started receiving pay from their women's ministry daycare. Additionally I worked as assistant at EYMS for approximately 6 months during my senior year in a "school to career program." My focus was helping in 6th grade ELA classrooms. I did one-on-one learning sessions, read alouds, and helped create visual aides for the kids as well as light classroom cleaning. Currently, I am a baker at Spooky Nook in their bakery/pretzel shop. I have worked there for over a year and a half and plan on leaving by the end of February at the latest. I can't wait to start working with you and the kids!
