About Abigail

Hi! My name is Abigail and I am a State College local attending Penn State for English education in grades 7-12! I have several years of experience working with children, both formal and informal. I have worked and volunteered at day camps, overnight camps, tutoring programs, and have a range of experience in babysitting. The past few semesters I have been a counselor and leader at Shaver's Creek's Penn State program called Outdoor School, a week-long overnight camp for 5th graders. Last summer I worked at the State College Friends School as a lead for the Kindergarten and 1st grade groups, which included field trips to playgrounds, downtown State College, and local state parks. My experiences at both programs have allowed me to expand on my skills with Preschoolers to early middle schoolers. My goal is to be able to babysit/nanny this summer as well as continue working my current job at Wegmans. I hope you will consider me as a possible fit for your family!
