About Abi

Hello! My name is Abi, and I'm an education major at Queens College pursuing a dual bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities and a minor in Psychology. I hold a New York State Level I Teacher Assistant Certification and tutor Math, English, Science, Study Skills, Test Preparation, and Special Education. My experience as both a Teacher's Aide and Direct Support Professional allows me to support students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and diverse learning needs. I use evidence-based strategies including scaffolding, differentiated instruction, explicit teaching, guided practice, multisensory learning, and positive reinforcement to help students build confidence and achieve lasting success. Every lesson is personalized to meet each student's unique goals and learning style.
