I have 5 years of hands-on caregiving experience, and companion care is where I feel most at home. As a Direct Support Professional, I've spent years building real relationships with adults with autism and developmental disabilities, not just getting through a task list. I check in daily, actually get to know the people I care for, and pick up on when someone's struggling emotionally or physically long before it becomes a bigger problem. I also bring an Executive Functioning coaching lens to how I support people, helping someone stay on top of their day and stick to routines that actually make their life feel more stable. But honestly, what matters most to me is that I genuinely, truly care. I put real, genuine effort into every relationship I build, and I'm kind, patient, and fully invested in the people I spend time with, not just showing up and clocking out.
