I have worked with kids with autism and Down syndrome the most. A lot of my family members have ADHD, dyslexia, or speech delays. I am comfortable helping with school or activities to improve delays the child may have. I am also comfortable with helping around the house and creating activities for the child(ren) to do. I love to stay busy and do crafts or go on adventures outside of the weather permits. In high school I worked in the special needs classroom with teens that had many different cognitive disorders. I have worked with some that were high functioning and some that were not. There were a couple who were non verbal but responded well and we would do activities together to increase brain activity.
