About Abby

Hello! My name is Abby and I am looking for a part time position as I am a nursing student at the University of Louisville! I love caring for kids and have years of experience. I am CPR certified, have my SRNA certification, and completed an EMT course. For the past year, I worked at a prescribed pediatric extended care facility where I took care of a range of medically complex kids from ages birth to 21. This position taught me a lot about developmental stages, to closely observe for possible emergent situations and how to appropriately approach these situations. I have also babysat for family friends where I took care of two little girls, through ages 6mo-4 years old. I have a lot of experience with interactive learning, diaper changes, behaviors, bottle feeding, structured daily routines, allergy and medical restrictions, etc. I would love to be able to help out in any way that I can and find the right fit for both me and the family I work with!
