About Abby

Hi! I'm Abby, and I'm passionate about helping students learn in a supportive environment. I earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia, and I will graduate with a law degree from Elon University in December. I have extensive experience working with young people of all ages, from teaching preschool, to babysitting and nannying, to working as a juvenile probation officer for eight years. I believe that building rapport and meeting students where they are is the key to helping them learn. I also understand firsthand that focusing, staying organized, and avoiding procrastination can be difficult, and I love helping students find strategies that work for them. I'm happy to assist with reading, writing, study skills, organization, and time management for students of all ages. For high school students, I also offer support with college applications, including proofreading personal statements and essays. I look forward to working with you or your student!
