About Abbie

Hi there. My name is Abbie and I am a 29-year-old former high school Ed Tech who worked with special needs kids. I worked at a high school for 6 years mostly working one-on-one with a wonderful girl with disabilities. She recently graduated so I'm taking a bit of time off to explore other options out there and take some classes. I currently am working part-time in retail and have a small photography business. My part-time job hours vary week to week so let's talk and work something out. I love working with kids of all ages. I helped raise my nephew from birth and have cared for the children of friends and family since I was 14. I'd consider myself to be very understanding and compassionate. Patience is a virtue I am very proud to possess, working with the special needs community requires it. I love kicking around a soccer ball, helping with school work or heading out for day adventures at parks. In my spare time you can always find me with my dog. She is a 2-year-old rescued mutt from Georgia and is the sweetest pup you'll ever meet. I also enjoy staying active by kayaking, hiking, biking, running, yoga and being outside any opportunity I have. I'm a huge fan of camping, I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful state surrounded by both the ocean and the deep woods.
