About Abbie

Hi! My name is Abbie and I am relocating to Charleston from Colorado. With a passion for kids that started at an early age, I got my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2020 from the University of Northern Colorado. Since then, I have been working as an elementary teacher. In the past six years, I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade. Before then, and also during summers, I have nannied for different families with at least two kids, elementary aged. I enjoy spending time with kids doing different activities such as swimming, indoor and outdoor games, excursions, crafts, etc. With my teaching degree, I am also passionate about helping kids to grow in learning through time for reading and other academic activities. Many families have complimented me for my warm, quiet, and peaceful demeanor. I follow the parents' lead on how to manage behavior and follow through on parent rules. I am looking for a family to support with young kiddos aged 0-11. Talk soon!
