About Abbie

Hi, my name is Abbie and I have recently moved to DC from North Dakota! I am looking for part-time work and am comfortable with multiple kids and dogs (I have three dogs back at home). I have seven years of experience at my local church working with kids aged 4-5. I also have worked in mental health for nearly three years making me patient, excellent and communication and highly aware of my surroundings. Excited for this new opportunity! I would describe my personality as thoughtful, understanding and welcoming. I started working with kids when I began helping out my church in 2018. Weekly, I would lead groups of two to seven kids completing worksheets, playing games and singing songs. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, organizing, and shopping! l am CPR/BLS certified and have also worked in mental health for nearly three years making me very aware of my surroundings/potential hazards.
