About Abbey

Hi families! My name is Abbey! I'm a special education teacher with 5+ years of experience at a school for students who are deafblind and have severe disabilities and extensive support needs. I also have 7+ years of nannying experience, including working with children with disabilities and challenging behaviors. I have Master's degrees in Severe and Profound Special Education and Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. I know Braille and Sign Language and am comfortable providing hands-on care, including G-tube feeds, medication administration, mealtime routines, showering, and toileting. Most importantly, I genuinely love working with kids! I love playing, getting to know their personalities, following their interests, and creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
