I like caring for people with intellectual and physical differences because I love helping people live fuller lives. Companionship and making a difference in the lives of others is so important to me, and makes me love this field even more! I'm looking for a job that is a good fit and flexible with my schedule! I want to go back to school, so something that accommodates that! Then about 7 years ago, I started volunteering for Special Olympics, Best Buddies, and I worked at a Special Recreation. I've also done private respite care full time for the last two years, and part time with several families! I also have a bachelors degree in Disability and Rehabilitation Services from NIU. In my spare time, I like to kayak and hang out with my friends! I spend a lot of time working during the week, so that's always my first priority! I try to be as active as possible, but I also love to read. My skills include flexibility, I ask good questions, and I'm passionate about what I get to do!
