About Aarushi

I've been tutoring kids in English and Social Science long before anyone offered to pay me! My Bachelor's degree is in Political Science, and my English minor has provided me with a strong background in all forms of writing and literature. I also have a background in Secondary Education and studied instruction and lesson planning extensively. I have experience with literacy tutoring, wherein I developed my student's reading and comprehension skills, writing, and oral language/presentation skills. I have also mentored students in creative writing, exposing them to the various genres and styles of writing. I am happy to work with any level and subject within the areas of English Language Arts and Social Science, but I want to note that I am also well-qualified to tutor AP Literature and AP United States History. In addition to having pursued those subject areas well into my university degree, I received a 5 on each exam when I took them.
