About Aaliyah

Unlocking a student's unique potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary learners in Math, English, Art, and test preparation, I focus on building confidence rather than simple memorization. I adapt my methods to your child's specific needs by observing how they engage with new material and incorporating visual aids or hands-on activities. When concepts become challenging, I break them down into manageable steps and connect them to real-world interests to maintain momentum. I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure we are aligned on progress and goals. My favorite part of this work is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a difficult skill. I hold CPR training and First Aid certifications and am comfortable working with pets in your home or a local library. I truly look forward to helping your child thrive and discover a genuine love for learning.
