Experience: 5 yrs
Caregiving and creativity run in my blood. I proudly come from three generations of caregivers: a librarian great-grandma, a caregiver grandma, and a schoolteacher mom! My journey started in high school at my family's childcare center. Before teaching, I spent 15 years as a dancer and 3 years as an art curator. I'm gentle, playful, and have rewarding experience supporting children with special needs. During the school year, I teach with a California Substitute Teaching Permit, focusing on confidence over rote memorization. This summer, I am excited to bring that creative energy to your home with total integrity! I love keeping kids engaged with fun art projects, conversational Spanish (which I speak proficiently), dance, summer reading, and baking sweet treats (like cookies, cobblers, and cakes!). I am highly reliable, easygoing, have a clean driving record, and adapt easily to eclectic families. I can't wait to bring a mix of safety and summer fun to your home!
I grateful enjoy seeing Aaliyah care for my two toddlers. We often ask her to care for our boys whether it be for a date night or while at work. She’s really good at keeping them engaged in games without electronics, especially because she’s a substitute teacher and musician. She always makes sure that my boy’s physical and mental wellbeing are positive, even in tough learning moments for them.
