About Aafiya

I am a professional caregiver with over 4 years of experience in childcare and early education, managing classrooms from infancy through age 8, including after-school programs. My experience spans infant, toddler, and preschool classes, curating lessons using Frog Street and Carol's Curriculum, as well as original plans for the1-year-old classroom. I also have individual care experience up to age 11. Last January, I was on track for the Director position; however, due to health issues and a demanding commute, I stepped away from full-time work last March, but continue part-time and as needed. As a UT graduate with a B. A. in Health & Society, minor in Social & Behavioral Sciences, and certificate in Food & Society, I take a holistic approach - weaving mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and nervous system regulation into routines to foster resilience and vitality in every child. I am a dependable, discreet presence who maintains a calm, organized home - available immediately.
