Help needed for my mother in her 70's - seeking full-time hands-on care. The ideal match will meet the requirements below. Meal Preparation: I'm okay with buying prepared meals from restaurants and bringing them to her. Transportation: Right now, her doctors will come to her at the home but if we can get her to have her hair done, that would be great. I will ship a wheelchair to accommodate transporting her because mobility is an issue. Bathing / Dressing: Shirley is deathly afraid of water coming down over her head so we're going to install a removable shower-head so that she can sit down in the shower and use the removable shower-head to clean herself. She doesn't want anyone to see her undressed so laying out her clothes is about all she'll allow anyone to do. Light Housekeeping: Dishes, bathroom, dealing with the sheets, bad padding, etc. Errands / Shopping: Grocery store runs for bottled water, snacks, and food for cooking breakfast or dinner. My hope is that the caregiver can cook. Schedule Details: She needs to have breakfast every morning. Check for instances where cleaning is necessary e. g. wash dishes, clean the bathroom, change the sheets, and make the bed. She has an issue with incontinence so the caregiver must be okay with helping with that. Shirley, for the most part, appears lucid but at times she has moments of dementia which may or may not be brought on by her acute alcoholism. We are working to find her an in-patient facility as soon as financially possible.
