My daughter is a 3rd grader rising to 4th that has had a life long struggle with reading and writing. She has made large strides this school year and I am trying to have someone tutor her to minimize the "summer slide." We live in a different state, but are up in the Binghamton area for the summer, so the programs offered through her school system are not a possibility. She is a fun, extremely sweet, imaginative kid, who works hard, so I would love to find someone who could make working on skills "fun" and not make her feel like she is being punished for not excelling.
