Weekend Reading Tutor For 13-Year-Old Boy With Learning Disabilities

We are seeking a patient, experienced, and engaging reading tutor for our son in middle school. The student is a reluctant reader who has ADHD and dysgraphia. The work will be focused on helping him get over anxiety and frustration, reading books of his (or your) choosing and summarizing in the structured format required by his school, identifying topic sentences and finding supporting statements. Ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, possibly employing adaptive tools, and provide positive encouragement and gentle structure to help him stay focused for the duration of the session. Flexible scheduling on Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday. We can work to find a consistent slot that fits your schedule. Tutoring would ideally take place in our home.
