Our son, 10yo, has ASD, ADHD, expressive receptive language delay. He is very smart, but like a lot of special ed placements, I feel like he is around behaviors most of the day and doesn't get a chance to get excited about learning new things. My son has some behaviors toward himself when he is overwhelmed that the tutor would need to feel comfortable and supportive being near (no need for behavioral intervention) just to help him know it's okay to not understand and keep trying to learn! The most important part of what we are looking for isn't the exact curriculum, he doesn't have homework, we just want somebody who he can feel connected , who is warm and supportive and flexible to introduce new subjects to him like geography, English and writing, science and animals, just to help him start finding some confidence passions and interests
