Seeking a home-school teacher for 8-year-old boy on autism spectrum for Fall 2024! Position will be part-time, from 8:00-12:00, M-F, in our home. ABA therapist available to assist as needed during the home-school sessions. Prefer candidate with special education training, para-educator, or ABA training. Candidate should be motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and creative to help engage him with learning. The teacher should be experienced with teaching child to learn to read simple words, comprehending books read to him, and handwriting. Child is extremely interested in STEM activities, how things work, nature, and arts & crafts; therefore, some of the lesson planning should incorporate these areas in lessons. Child is verbal and able to communicate with sentences and fragments. He is delayed academically for a child his age.
