I have a 12-year-old who is a smart kid but hasn't been in school since 1st grade. We just moved to Dallas and are working on getting him enrolled, but he's behind academically and we don't want to throw him straight into a classroom without support. We're looking for a tutor who can work with him as much as possible until he's ready for school. Ideally, we'd like to start putting him on a school-like schedule--3-5 days a week, a few hours a day--covering the basics (reading, writing, math, etc.) while also helping him build structure and confidence. If you have experience working with students who need to catch up, are patient, and can create engaging lessons, we'd love to hear from you.
